President & CEO

Robert Francis represents the fourth generation of leadership in the real estate service industry and is passionate about building the Planned Companies brand that is synonymous with accountable, professional service. His focus is on associate and client satisfaction and retention, new business development and overall guidance and support for all Planned Companies initiatives.

During his tenure at Planned, Francis grew the Building Service division and expanded into the security and concierge business by launching Planned Security Services in 2002 and Planned Lifestyle Services in 2004, significantly increasing the Planned Companies brand throughout the northeast within a short period of time. Francis has instituted quality control measures and a corporate culture at Planned that has resulted in substantial company growth and industry leading client and associate retention rates.

Francis has been featured in various regional and national publications, such as Real Estate Weekly, Workforce Management, The Star Ledger, and New Jersey & Company. Additionally, he is a recipient of the NJBIZ “Top 40 under 40” Award which recognizes business executives throughout the state who demonstrate leadership and innovation.

Astrit (Tony) Gorana

Chief Operating Officer

Astrit (Tony) Gorana joined Planned Building Services in 2000. Starting as an Account Executive, he has ascended through the years to Director of Operations, Vice President of Operations and currently Chief Operating Officer. Gorana oversees the operational functions of all divisions throughout the organization, with client satisfaction and relationships at the forefront of his focus.

Gorana, an industry expert, serves as a daily resource and mentor to his team of executive directors. He works with his team to identify and implement process improvements for increased efficiency and effectiveness, conduct property assessments and review contract renewals, and support client relations for maximized communication and understanding of their needs. As a leader who lives and breathes the business, Gorana prioritizes supporting a team culture that passionately delivers superior service.

Committed to sustainability, Gorana also received his LEED AP designation in November 2008 and has been the key driver in launching “Planned Goes Green”, the company’s green movement program.

Prior to Planned Building Services, Gorana started his career in the janitorial and maintenance business as a teenager. He brings his extensive experience and growing knowledge to Planned, consistently introducing and implementing the latest industry innovations. Gorana inspires the team daily with his diligence, integrity and commitment to customer service.

David Han

Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer, David Han is responsible for the overall financial leadership of Planned Companies, including corporate accounting, financial analysis & reporting, budgeting, treasury and risk management.

Han has more than 20 years of experience gained in a variety of financial leadership roles at both publicly traded and private companies.  Previously, he served as Director, Compliance & Risk Management at Planned Companies’ parent company in Toronto, FirstService Corporation, where he oversaw the company’s Sarbanes-Oxley, internal audit & risk management initiatives.  Prior to FirstService, Han served in various financial leadership roles at Coca-Cola Enterprises and Xerox Canada and also provided consulting and advisory services to Senior Management in a range of industries.

Mr. Han is also currently an Independent Director of the Board at KEB Hana Bank Canada, serving as the Chairman of the Audit Committee and a member of the Risk Management Committee.

David is a Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant, and began his career at Ernst & Young, after graduating from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Commerce degree.

Catherine Bruno

VP, Human Resources

Catherine Bruno is a hands-on HR leader with a passion for building strong cultures and using data to drive organizational decision making. Catherine is an analytical thinker with a knack for creative problem solving, leveraging her unique background in finance, operations and human resources. As VP of Human Resources, Catherine works closely with the HR team, focusing on employee engagement and retention, talent management, recruiting, benefits, process improvement and people analytics.

One of Catherine’s most notable accomplishments since joining Planned has been the development of a monthly scorecard, reporting on key performance indicators and used by senior management to understand the wellbeing of the business and its people.

Catherine brings with her 10 years of experience in various HR roles at different sized companies and diverse industries. Prior to joining the Planned team in 2016, Catherine was with EY’s People Advisory Practice where she helped clients develop and implement strategic HR programs, including executive and broad-based compensation, HR policy design, performance management, succession planning, leadership development and workforce planning.

Catherine is a graduate of Gettysburg College with a degree in Business Management. She is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources.

Frank Cupo

Senior Vice President, IT

Frank is a technology professional specializing in blending agnostically hosted platforms and software solutions to meet the ever-changing demands of today's marketplaces. He successfully managed global technology strategies for various industry leaders/verticals, including health and wellness, telecom, B2B channel distribution, and digital entertainment. His international experience in each of these markets effectively extended the functional reach and achieved global alignment through logistically diverse team building. His adaptive technology models continually met the compliance and security best practice frameworks while maintaining the primary goal of minimizing business impact.

Professional Background
Frank recently transitioned to Planned Companies from WW (formerly Weight Watchers), where he stewarded all aspects of their back-office technology strategy operations and support stack. His most recent accomplishments involved transitioning WW to a fully remote work model across the globe and the unification of disparate regional identity access models.

John Fahmy

Executive Vice President

John Fahmy is the Vice President for the western region. Fahmy started his career with Planned Companies as Executive Director for the New York and Connecticut regions, but due to his expertise in relationship building and retention was relocated to the Mid-Atlantic region for the potential growth opportunities for Planned Companies.

His responsibilities include hiring and training new associates, managing client and associate retention, account startups, budgets, and supervising field management. Fahmy’s high energy and business leadership skills contribute to his continued success with PLS and PSS.  Previously, Fahmy gained significant skills and success within the hospitality and telecommunication industries.

He began his career while in college as a front desk agent at two of NYC’s top hotels. Later in his career, he was a regional sales manager for one of the largest AT&T resellers. Through this career opportunity, he gained many of the associate retention skills and multi-site management expertise that he has brought to Planned Companies.
