The Community Association Institute (CAI-NJ) hosted its Federal Housing Administration (FHA) Condo Seminar at Planned’s HQ in Parsippany, NJ

Planned Companies, a leader in the janitorial, maintenance, security, and concierge services industry, partnered with the Community Association Institute of New Jersey (CAI-NJ) to host CAI-NJ’s Federal Housing Administration (FHA) Condo Seminar at its HQ in Parsippany, NJ. The event was held in the O.R.A.C.L.E. training center and featured a panel of experts discussing new FHA trends and condominium guidelines within the industry.

The seminar was held on Wednesday May 23, 2012 and attended by numerous companies within the property management community including RCP Management and Access Property Management. The class, moderated by Michael Pesce, Co-Owner & President, Community Management Corp., was broken down into three specific topics and presented by the experts in each field.

In the first portion of the seminar, Steven Grossman the Managing Partner from NJ Lenders, covered the overall importance of FHA approval for condominium associations. Next, Philip J. Sutcliffe, Founder of Project Support Services, discussed the history of FHA guidelines and how the changes over time have influenced the current eligibly criteria within the market. The third and final presenter, Ronald L. Perl, Esq. Partner at Hill Wallack LLP, spoke to the group about the significance of insurance, third party transfer fees, and the Qualified Residential Mortgage Rule. Lastly, the class came to a close with a group question and answer session.
