Robert A. Francis
President, Planned Companies

 

Robert A. Francis joined his family business in 1998, representing the fourth generation of leadership. He works in new business development and client retention, with a client portfolio that still includes ADP, CB Richard Ellis, Commerce Bank, GVA Williams, Mack-Cali Realty Corporation, Sotheby’s and Wentworth Management. He transitioned the concierge, doorman and security business and launched Planned Security Services in January 2004, raising revenue from 3 million to 11 million in 3 years.

 

Prior to Planned Companies, Mr. Francis spent two years at Andersen Consulting (Accenture) where he worked on a team implementing change management systems and solutions for internal operations at Andersen in Chicago. In 2005 and 2008, he was a recipient of “Top 40 Under 40,” by NJBiz, which recognized business executives with demonstrated leadership and innovation from the state. Mr. Francis has instituted quality control measures and a corporate culture at Planned Companies that has resulted in an industry leading client and employee retention rate.

 

He obtained his BA from the University of Pennsylvania, and his MBA from The Stern School of Business at New York University. He resides in New Jersey with his wife and two children.

 

 

 

Jonathan L. Kessler

Vice President of Business Development

Jonathan Kessler oversees sales and marketing initiatives.  He works closely with our account executives developing new business opportunities, as well as with our operations team to establish new accounts.  He also organizes efforts to promote our company within the real estate service industry.

Prior to Planned Companies, Mr. Kessler worked at Kessler Trucking Company LLC, a four-generation company based in Paterson, NJ.  He began his career with Kessler Trucking at a junior level, and after ten years grew to the project management level contributing to the company's sales and marketing initiatives.

He obtained his BA in psychology from the University of Arizona.  He resides in NYC.

 

Astrit Gorana
Vice President of Operations, Planned Building Services

 

Astrit (Tony) Gorana is responsible for account oversight for a number of clients including ADP, Avalon Communities, CB Richard Ellis, Commerce Bank, Gucci, Olmstead Properties, Roseland Property Group and Sotheby’s.

 

He joined Planned in June 2000 as an Account Executive for a portfolio of properties in New York City maintained by Planned Business Services. Proving his extensive knowledge and experience in the field, one year Mr. Gorana was promoted to Director of Operations, managing regional managers and specialized route crews. After four years, and significant growth within the company, Mr. Gorana became Vice President.  He continues to be instrumental in raising Planned Building Services customer retention rate to 95%.

 

Prior to Planned Building Services, Mr. Gorana spent over seven years at Golden Mark Maintenance in New York. He worked his way up from being a janitor at a local bank to a Regional Supervisor, Field Manager, Operations Manager and finally Account Executive. While at Golden Mark he learned every aspect of the janitorial and maintenance business.

 

Mr. Gorana is an avid student of world languages, and is currently fluent in five. He resides in Staten Island, NY with his family.

 

 

 

Dino Iuliano
Vice President of Operations, Planned Security Services

Certified Personal Protection Specialist

 

Dino Iuliano oversees all day to day operations for over 400 Concierge, Doormen and Security Officers throughout New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He is in charge of everything from the selection, screening, training, and supervision of all personnel assigned to Planned Security Services. Under his supervision, Planned Security has obtained an industry leading 95% customer retention rate.

 

Prior to Planned Security Services, Mr. Iuliano served as Director of Operations for a New Jersey based security company, and has also worked as an Executive Protection Specialist for a Fortune 100 company. While employed there, he was given the opportunity to be included within the security detail protecting former President George Bush while he gave a speech at the AT&T facility in Basking Ridge, NJ. Mr. Iuliano has also served as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps and was also a Sheriff’s Officer. Most recently, Mr. Iuliano worked as a Product Specialist at a Fortune 500 Company located in Northern New Jersey.

 

Mr. Iuliano has been featured in various industry publications, such as NY Real Estate Journal, New Jersey & Company, and Real Estate Weekly, and provides lectures regarding security safety and awareness. 

 

He graduated from the Executive Protection Institute in Virginia.
